Police Investigation Leads to Cocaine Bust

In West Virginia where drug abuse is running ramped, police have made a major bust.  A recent multicounty law enforcement investigation has lead to one of the largest crack cocaine busts in West Virginia history. A bust produced multiple arrests and netted a pound-and-a-half of crack cocaine. The drugs have a street value of more than $48,000. The initial investigation started in February after a domestic violence call turned into a cocaine bust.

Over the course of a week weeks, the investigation continued to lead to more arrests and more cocaine. All suspects will be charged with felony delivery and distribution of a controlled substance.  This bust is a sign of the increasing drug problem throughout the county.  Drugs are no longer a city problem and families everywhere are struggling with addiction, while police fight the war on drugs.
