New Jersey Drug Suspect Rams Police Car

New Jersey Drug Suspect Rams Police Car

In Brick Township, New Jersey, recently, a man who was apparently involved in a drug deal rammed a police car in his attempt to escape from police. Law officers had approached his car after suspecting that a drug transaction was happening, and identified themselves. The suspect frantically rammed the detective’s unmarked vehicle before driving towards an police officer, narrowly missing him. After ditching his car a quarter mile away, the suspect was later caught on foot with 1,600 bags of heroin.

If you ever use drugs, whether it’s heroin, cocaine, marijuana, prescription pills, meth, crack, or something else, you should know that it directly contributes to criminal behavior and illegal acts like this one. Even though none of the police officers were injured, it was still a close call and there’s always potential for violence when drugs are involved. The only reliable way to fight the drug trade is to get rid of demand, and the best way to do that is to treat drug users so they can break their addictions and stop supporting criminals.

If you have a problem with drug addiction or know someone who does, you should seek help now for yourself or your loved one. Thankfully, there is good help available. Detoxification and behavioral therapy have proven to be effective in treating drug dependence. Addicts are often unable to complete treatment on their own or with family members, so it’s very important to seek the right treatment center.
