AA Helps with Youth’s Addiction Recovery

Case Western Reserve did a survey study and determined that young people that are addicted to drugs and alcohol tend to improve the possibility of recovery by helping other.

In an earlier study, Dr. Maria Pagano, PhD, had discovered that when adults became involved in Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) service-type opportunities, they were successful in staying clean. They found that they were even sober 10 years after treatment. In a new study by Pagano, found that youths that are involved in AA are also more likely to stay clean because of their program.

Pagano continues to follow the juvenile offenders from her study to examine the impact of AAH on long-term recidivism outcomes.

If you have a problem with alcohol abuse or know someone who does, you can seek help now for yourself or your loved one. Thankfully, there is good help available. Detoxification and behavioral therapy have proven to be effective in treating alcohol dependence. Addicts are often unable to complete treatment on their own or with family members, so it’s very important to seek the right treatment center. At Seabrook House, we customize our treatment plans to individual patient’s needs, so you know the help you’re getting is right for you or a loved one. Whether you need an in-patient facility, or outpatient care, Seabrook House is there for you with rehabilitation centers in New Jersey (NJ), Pennsylvania (PA), and an outpatient center in New York (NY). Contact Seabrook House today for any questions about drugs, addiction, and treatment.
