Naked Burglars Lead to Marijuana Stash and Live Alligator
In a strange story from Tempe, Arizona, police responding to reports of two naked drivers found their way to a marijuana stash and an illegal alligator. Untangling the story, the police found out that the two suspects had been robbing a purple Dodge Charger at 3:15am in the parking lot of an apartment complex. They were accosted at gunpoint by the car’s owner, who lived in the complex. He then forced the two burglars to go back to his apartment, where he told them to give back everything they stole and then strip naked to ensure they weren’t hiding anything.
The two burglars were told to leave—without their clothes. They were spotted by other residents of the complex, who called the police. After apprehending the two naked men on a rural road, police tracked down the original victim of the burglary, where they found marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a live 13-inch alligator. Tempe Police Department spokesman Sgt. Jeff Glover said, “So everybody was arrested.” It’s worth pointing out that drugs can cause people to do strange things, whether the drug in question is heroin, prescription pills, marijuana, alcohol, cocaine, meth, PCP, bath salts, or anything else.
