Possibly Contaminated PCP Linked to Child Murders in New Jersey
Law enforcement agencies are investigating the possibility that a recent rash of violent crimes, including at least three children attacked, may be linked to a contaminated batch of PCP. The “wet” PCP is combined with marijuana and smoked, and may lead to very unpredictable effects in users. In the past two weeks, at least three children have been attacked and at least two are dead. Authorities are investigating the drugs and focusing especially on Camden, New Jersey, consistently rated as one of the most dangerous cities in America.
Whether the drug in question is PCP, meth, heroin, marijuana, bath salts, or prescription pills, and combination can have tragic and gruesome questions. And the illicit nature of the manufacture of most drugs means that they’re almost always “cut” or contaminated in some way. These adulterants can have further wild consequences in terms of violence and unpredictable behavior. The best answer to drugs and violence is the same as it’s always been: a good schedule of treatment and a caring rehabilitation center.
