Adult Services
At Seabrook House, we are committed to providing quality addiction treatment
for the physical, emotional and spiritual illness of chemical
dependency. Our structured, nurturing programs, along with the
principles grounded in the Twelve Step philosophy of recovery,
combine to foster the kind of change necessary for a clean and
sober life.
Our wide range of addiction treatment services include intensive stabilization (also
known as detoxification), individual and group therapy, and education
in the biological, social and spiritual aspects of addiction in
residential treatment.
Our inpatient rehabilitation program consists of a three phase
continuum of care for adults ages 18 years and over. Phase
One is a 28 to 35 day residential program not including detox.
We admit adolescents at the age of 17, only after a thorough assessment
and release of information has been signed by a parent or guardian.
Phase Two is a step-down to extended care at our transitional living facility in Pennsylvania. This is a gender specific,
sober living environment on the grounds of a luxurious estate. The length of stay is a minimum of 3
months, allowing the patient to apply the tools and skills learned
during phase one, but in a "real world" environment
that includes employment, along with intensive outpatient care.
Phase Three is an outpatient aftercare program consisting
of at least 1 x week of therapy for a minimum of 8 months.
Our clinical staff embraces
the principles and philosophies of various Twelve Step programs throughout all phases of treatment. Seabrook House also believes that the delivery of addiction treatment must
be specifically oriented toward the gender, age, sexual orientation,
and culture of each patient. Group therapy is provided in a gender-specific
setting. Upon admission, every patient has a 2-day orientation
with a detox counselor and is oriented to the treatment and standards
of the 4 - 5 week treatment program.
MaterLiber Program (Women With Children)
Seabrook House is proud to offer a distinct program for mothers
with children known as MaterLiber (Latin for mother-child).
This unique primary residential chemical dependency treatment
program provides a place where a mother is permitted to have her
children accompany her into rehab. The children can remain throughout
the entire treatment process. Our facilities and licensed daycare
afford a mother the confidence that she will have access to her
children during this crucial early stage of recovery. We believe
all women deserve the right to have access to an inpatient alcohol
and drug rehab program without worrying about the safety of their
children.
-
Admission Requirements - A mother who comes with her
children must submit a schedule of all immunizations for each
child, a health and prescription benefit card, a recent history
and physical for each child by their family physician or pediatrician
and all medications for their children. The child's pediatrician
must write a letter that the child is free from all communicable
diseases. While the mother is in treatment, the children will
be taken care of by the qualified staff of our day care for
eight hours a day five days a week.
